I HAD TO come online to blog about this. it's worth it y'know. today church was at 9am. I so badly didn't feel like waking up at all. IT WAS EARLY IN THE MORNING OKAY! and i'm a big sleeping pig. oh well but i didn't know why, i didn't grumble, i just went ahead to get ready.

went to church, and they had this AMAZING performance by this world reknown guitarist called alverdo sanchez if i'm not wrong? he started playing at the age of 3, and by the age of 7 he could sit down and practice the guitar for 7 hours. HOLY O_O. the flexibity of his fingers is amazing. he could do the trills (or however you spell it) and he doesn't just strum or pluck. he plucks in different ways, at the same time, which makes his music so different and amazing. the way his hands move up and down the bars, gosh it must have took years of practice. and he has ears so finely tuned to music, and he could say that the instrument sounded IMPERFECT though to me i thought it was tuned correctly. he played christmas songs for us and even composed a song for us. man he's a music genius, a master at guitar. he played in front of queen elizabeth before! (: and and there's another thing that ONLY HE CAN DO AND OTHERS CAN'T. he can pluck his guitar, and at the same time, use the strings of the guitar to play the sound of the drums. it sounded IMPOSSIBLE till i heard it for myself. it's clearly a gift from God, that no one else has. his performance was marvellous, i can't even describe it properly. you really have to SEE it.

when one hears his music, it sounds great, different and unique. like something only a pro can do. but when i was scrutinising his fingers and the way he played it, he incorporated many different types of plucking techiniques at the same time. if i were to play it, it would just be a mess. only when i saw his fingers and the way they played it, i knew that it could only be done by a true master of the guitar and the standard of it would take too many years to achieve. yet, he's humble and thinks he has yet to perfect his music. WOW.

he also played the harp. OMFG now i know why they call it the heavenly instrument. mom says she bought his CD, ima hear it one day (: it was such an honour to watch this world class guitarist perform. his music, literally took my breath away. my emotions moved together with the music. floating in the air with all the trills, and it could also make my heart skip a beat as he added stronger feelings and speed to it.

i'm awed. i suddenly feel like joining tjc's guitar ensemble heh. (:
